Well, many people have told me how much they enjoy reading my Facebook Status' about my kids and several of those people suggested that I do a blog to keep up with all of the things my family does and says, so here it is. A little background first. Albert and I have been married for 6 and a half years now. We married in March of 2005 and we had a miscarriage in January 2006. Then we found out we were pregnant again in April 2006 and Trey Brown arrived by C-section, after an exhausting day of begging him to come out, on the night of December 19, 2006. Then in August 2007, Trey was a little over 7 months old so we were little shocked to find out we would be having another baby. Our other precious little boy, Ethan Brown arrived on the morning of March 31, 2008. So we have basically been in a whirlwind since we got married. But we love eachother and we love our boys, so it all works out. And Albert is a wonderful dad, I seriously could not have asked for a more involved and caring dad, so that definately helps. My OBGYN's wife has boys that are 15 months apart and she once told me "You and I are a part of a very special club that only people who have been in our shoes can understand." Boy was she right.
Trey had a kind of exciting birth, on top of the fact that he was determined not to come out of the womb (twelve hours after my enduction I had not diolated at all!) I am in the middle of my c-section, which ofcourse I was awake for, and my doctor says "Ya'll have got to see this" to the nurses. So I am flipping out thinking something is wrong with my child and I kept asking what was going on and my friend that was my nurse says "Oh, nothing is wrong, he just came out with his eyes wide open, and that's just not something we see very often" Needless to say I was like "OMG! What is wrong with him? Just tell me!" but they assured me he was fine, it was just odd. And the kid has been alert like that ever since! Right in the middle of the action, can't miss a thing... that is Trey Brown! Ethan on the other hand is just normally pretty go with the flow and tries to stay away from the action. Unless Trey checks it out first and if Trey does not get injured, he might try it. But for the most part, Ethan likes to stay right up under Mommy, where he is safe. But Trey, there is just no telling what that child is going to do or say. That boy had his first "girlfriend" when he was 18 months old! We caught them in the bottom of the gym foam pit at Bounce Babies embraced and kissing eachother and I had to climb down in that pit to break it up! He was born girl crazy. Ethan, could care less. He is perfectly content just being the baby.
Some of Trey's famous past quotes include:
Nana says, "Trey, lets go flush Dorthy (the goldfish) down the potty." Trey says "No Nana! We have to bury her so that she can go be w/ Jesus! And can you bury me and Papa to so we can make sure Jesus takes care of her?"
Me and the kids are sitting at the McDonald's window and I say "Trey... what do you want?" Trey says "a Happy Meal and a latte"
So Albert taught Trey to go underwater today and Trey calls Nana all excited and says "Hey Nana! My Daddy drownded me today!"
I say, "Trey, are you going to be a animal doctor when you grow up?" Trey says, "NOoo Mom, I've already told you what I'm gonna be when I grow up. A Daddy....... a Soldier Indian Daddy."
"Mommy, me and Ashley are gonna get married and have 10 babies... and her tummy is gonna be HUUUGE cuz she's gotta put them all in there and walk around with them in there for a while."
TREY TO HIS BABYSITTER IN THE POOLTaylor, can you go over to the other side of the pool? I don't want people passing by to think you are my girlfriend or something.
Trey seriously just wakes up and on random days is like... "I want to be a ____ today" and you never know what it is going to be.
Ethan's moments... well his actions speak loader than his words. Some of his works include...
Ethan did however crack me up this morning. Today is Trey's 2nd morning at Highland and me and Ethan go to pick him up at lunch. When Ethan woke up he came running to me and said "Wescue Tway Mommy, We gotta Wescue Tway!" (rescue Trey). I said from what, he said "from Big Boy School!" "Wescue Tway from Big Boy School Mommy!"
